Season 4 had 12 episodes and the finale episode aired Sept 12, 2004. The filming of season 5 begins in December (according to a message board post at hbo.com) but it may be a while before they air. Please stick around, and help serve the previous seasons if you can.
Season 2 DVDs were released July 6th, 2004. The [zr] caps we have of season 2 are quite good quality so most people don't think DVD-rips are necessary. Season 1 DVDs were released Feburary 4th, 2003 and a couple servers have 464x352 [zr] Divx DVD Rips.
[HOS] (#hbo.original.series) hasn't been capping their own episodes recently, and [zr] (#episode-heaven on EFnet) has told us he won't be capping the fourth season of Six Feet Under. Therefore, our main sourse for new releases is BitTorrent. Visit #bt on EFNet and Suprnova.org where you can now find a VCD and HDTV version of the latest episodes.
